I just was thinking it might be nice to have a way of communicating between the players.

To maintain players privacy, could there be a feature that would allow one player to send an email to another one from within this website, without showing the recieving persons email address?

Yes, that exists. In the Forum menu below the Thinker logo, go to the User Control Panel, and choose the Private Messages tab.
